CAPE TOWN, South Africa (AP) — South Africa, Colombia and other countries that lost out in the global race for coronavirus vaccines are taking a more combative approach towards drugmakers and pushing back on policies that deny cheap treatment to millions of people with tuberculosis and HIV. (AP) — Just as they have for millions of years, sea turtles by the thousands made their labored crawl from the ocean to U.S. beaches to lay their eggs over the past several months. This year, record nesting was found in Florida and elsewhere despite growing concern about threats from climate change.In Florida, preliminary state statistics show more than 133,840 loggerhead turtle nests, breaking a record set in 2016. AUSTIN (KXAN) -- One person has died following a collision Thursday evening between a vehicle and a pedestrian near Airport Blvd. and E. 45th St according to Austin Travis County EMS. ATCEMS said in a post shortly before 10 p.m. that medics who responded along with the Austin Fire Department and Austin Police Department were performing CPR before an adult patient was pronounced deceased. Officials are asking the public to avoid the area and say extended closures are expected as law enforcement investigates.
